Joyce Walters Baumy passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on November 18, 2015. She was born on May 26, 1934, in New Orleans. She was a graduate of Annunciation High School and retired from Sea-Land Corporation after many years of dedicated service. Joyce was preceded in death by her loving husband Walter O. Baumy Sr. and her parents Albert and Rita Walters. She is survived by her sister Merle Buras (Gene) and her brother Albert Walters (Joycelyn), her beloved children Walter O. Baumy Jr. (Ami) and Joanne B. Brundrett (Steve), seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking for her family, and her kind heart and generous spirit will be missed by all. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, November 21, 2015 from 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will begin at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
