Joyce Callahan Lopez went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 1, 2014 at the age of 81. Beloved wife of the late Alfred Lopez, Sr. Loving Mother of Alfred Jr. (Jeanne), Michael (Clelia), Lisa Gioia (Frank) and Patrick Lopez. Proud Grandmother to Donald and Dain Chastain, Krystalynn Lopez Shipley, Michelle and Victoriana Lopez and Matthew Gioia. Great-Grandmother to Ethan, Allie and Kia Chastain, Loralie Kate Mains and Samuel Shipley, II. Sister to the late Gail Buras. Nanny to the late Derek (Barbara), Diana, Dennis (Cheryl) and the late Dale Buras. Survived by Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and friends. She was greatly loved and will be missed by all. She lived for her children and grandchildren. She couldn't start her day without her cup of coffee and chicory. Loved her some Popeye's chicken, onion rings, hamburgers and donuts! Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, September 6, 2014 from 10:00 AM ~ 1:00 PM.
