In loving memory of Karl Jacob “Black” “Steckilo” “Mr. Clutch” Stechmann Jr., a devoted husband, father, and avid outdoorsman. He was the loving husband to Gina Jo Stechmann for 24 wonderful years. Caring father to Samantha Cortes (Dylan), Krystalyn Cheramie, Ari Stechmann and Karl Jacob Stechmann III (Emma); son of Catherine Estopinal Stechmann; grandfather to Nevaeh, Kasen, Melina, Karleigh and Amelia. Proud brother of Todd Stechmann Sr. and Chad Stechmann Sr.; uncle to many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Karl Jacob Stechmann Sr.

Born on December 26, 1964, in New Orleans, LA, Karl lived a life filled with laughter and love. He was more than a grass-cutter; he was a beacon of happiness in the lives of his loyal customers. With his infectious laughter and unwavering commitment, he turned mundane lawns into beautiful landscapes and forged lasting connections with those he served. Karl truly lived life to the fullest-he was the life of every party. His love for his family was evident in every facet of his life, from the way he cared for his loved ones to the energy he brought to his dance moves and singing. As we bid farewell to a remarkable soul, let us remember Karl for his zest for life, his carefree spirit, and his unwavering love for those around him. Karl’s greatest joy was spending his time with his grandchildren. Your laughter will echo in our hearts forever.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, August 19, 2023, from 10:00AM- 12:00PM. A mass will begin at 12:00PM.
