Kathleen Jolaine Latham

Kathleen Jolaine Latham, age 71, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025, in New Orleans, LA. Kathleen was born June 18, 1953, in Minneapolis, MN, to a military family and lived in various locations before moving to Arabi, LA in 1963. She was affectionately known as "George" to her friends. After her graduation from high school, she attended LSU Baton Rouge before moving back to the New Orleans area. Several years later Kathleen moved to New York City, where she lived for twenty plus years. Her love for New York equaled her love for New Orleans and the French Quarter. She lived in the Farbourg Marigny at the time of her passing. Along her road in life she made many friends, many of whom she remained in touch with through the years. Kathleen was an avid reader, history in particular. Music and art were favorites, as were TV documentaries. In her final years, she was lovingly cared for by her companion, Ronald Picou and her niece Michelle Picou. She leaves behind her mother, Carlene J. Lee, Thibodaux, LA; brothers Patrick M. Latham and Kerry, Minneapolis, MN, and Jeffrey P. Latham, Chalmette, LA; her companion Ron Picou; her niece Michelle Picou; great nieces Maya and Isabella "Bella" Picou, all of New Orleans, LA; nieces Maurirose Jager of MD (Henry), Julene Latham of MN; her great nieces Alice, Marykate and Josie Jager; along with many dear and loving friends. She was preceded in death by her father Cecil M. Latham. Kathleen was a loving and loyal friend to all who knew her. She was loved and will be greatly missed. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, NOLA.
