Laverne Patricia Adolph Hannan

Laverne Patricia Adolph Hannan of Meraux, Louisiana passed away peacefully on Friday, May 16, 2025, at the age of 67. She was known for her love of gardening and had a passion for being outside. She would always take care of the yard and surrounding areas, even gardening at Trist, so the neighbors and students would have a beautiful area to look at. She especially loved to decorate for every holiday bringing extra cheer and joy to her family and friends. Laverne also loved to sew and would tell stories of how she designed and had sewn her clothes for school and even made her own wedding dress. This love was passed on by making clothes and Halloween costumes for Timmy, and the children, and even as far as altering her granddaughters dresses and cheer uniforms.

Laverne deeply loved her husband, Timothy Hannan Sr., and found great happiness in the life they built together, especially in raising their two children.

She is survived by her husband Timothy Hannan Sr.; her children Timothy Hannan Jr. and Dianne Grosch (Gerald Grosch II); her sister Rita Hannan; her godmother Patricia Licciardi; her granddaughters Kennedi, Karmindi, Kylie, and Kamille; and her godson Shaun Hannan; and nephew Casey Hannan. She will be remembered by those who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents Vernon Adolph and Rita D. Heuer; her stepfather Merolin Heuer; and her sister Elizabeth Adolph.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, May 24, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA. A Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 PM. Laverne will be laid eternally to rest at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
