Lena DiBetta Hymel

Lena DiBetta Hymel went to the Lord on October 8, 2021. She was born on September 20, 1925. She leaves behind her daughter, Charlene Marsh (Tom); her grandson, Tommy Marsh, Jr. (Jackie); her grandchildren, McCartney and McCain; her niece, Eileen Devine (Evin) who was like a daughter to her; her nephew, George Harker III (Diane); her nieces who were with her to the end, and many other nieces and nephews who she loved very much. She is preceded in death by her husband, the late Leroy S. Hymel; her first husband, the late Charles J. Boucher, III; her parents, the late Michel and Giacomina DiBetta; and by her sister, the late Rosalie Harker. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

We would like to thank everyone at Heritage Manor in Slidell for all the care and attention they gave my mom. Also, thank you for always being there for Eileen and me whenever we needed your assistance or advice. I know she was loved by everyone and will always hold a special place in everyone’s heart. Again, thank you from the bottom of our heart.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a gathering on Monday, October 25, 2021, at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. VIRTUE STREET, in Chalmette, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. A Memorial Mass will begin at 11:00 AM, in the Chapel. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
