Linda Ann Delaney

Linda Ann Delaney, of Arabi Louisiana, passed away peacefully February 11, 2025. She was born on June 17, 1950 in New Orleans. Linda’s love was spending time with family and friends. She was passionate about New Orleans, St. Bernard Parish and environmental issues concerning Lake Pontchartrain and Louisiana wetlands. Linda’s work reflected her commitment to her community as Personnel Assistant Louisiana Army National Guard in the 80’s, Program Manager for WYES, Program Office Manager for Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation. She retired from WYES and remained involved in her community. Linda volunteered as Chairperson for Save Our Lake Fishing Rodeos for many years and the St. Bernard Coastal Zone Management Committee. Linda’s love of life was contagious to those who knew and loved her.

Linda is survived by her brothers Glenn Delaney (Patti) and Michael Delaney (Susanne), sister in law Dianne Delaney, nieces Angela Cates (Timmy), Andrea Delaney, Kaitlyn Harris (Chase), Aubrey Harris, Cara Martin (Eddie), Violet Martin, nephews Jonah Delaney, Nicholas Kinney, Matthew Cates and Alex Martin (Alaina). She is also survived by her cherished “Aunt Gerry” Heier, her beloved aunts Bee DeGeorge and Anna Rose Aguiluz, her adored cousins Lee Giorgio, Sharon Noto (Greg), Steven Heier (Ann), Marlene Baquie (Barry) Mary Elvir (Mike), Susan Peck, Lisa Emboulas along with many cousins and dear friends who will miss her joyous nature and quick wit. The family wishes to thank her close friend Luis Aguilar for his loving care and devotion that enriched her life.

Linda was preceded in death by her father John Delaney Jr., mother Rita Campisi Delaney and brother Donald Delaney.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue Street, Chalmette LA on Saturday February 22 from 9:30am-11:00am, followed by a Funeral Service in Linda’s memory at 11:00am. She will be laid to rest in St. Louis Cemetery No. 3, 3421 Esplanade Avenue, New Orleans.
