Margaret Catalano Belmonte

Margaret was the wife of the late Oneal P. Belmonte, Sr.; daughter of the late John and Carmella Riggio Catalano; mother of Oneal P. Belmonte, Jr. (Laurie), Don G. Belmonte and Maria B. Creppel (Lanny); grandmother of Donnell C. Jeansonne (Albin); Neal J. Belmonte (Greta), and Jared D. Belmonte (Samantha) and great-grandmother of Albin “AJ” Jeansonne III and Caroline Belmonte; sister of Rose Seeling (Stanley), Theresa Cahill (Charles), and the late Marie Miller and Joe Catalano. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Margaret most enjoyed spending time with her family, and she set an example of loving and compassionate behavior that served as an inspiration to others. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation of Mass or to St. Anthony’s Poor Box in Margaret’s honor.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on Friday, March 11, 2016 from 9:30 am until 1:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will begin at 1:00 pm in the Chapel. Margaret will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
