

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Anthony Layrisson III “Lil Spike” a devoted husband, dedicated computer drafter, and an ardent lover of the outdoors. He was the loving husband for over 30 wonderful years to Donna Pamisino Layrisson. Caring nephew to Rosalie R. Lawson; cousin to Annette L. Devine, Joseph P. Lawson, Carol Ann Rotolo, Shelly A. Rotolo, Tad Luke and Shirley Luke. He is preceded in death by his parents, Michael “Toy” Layrisson Jr., and Ruth Rotolo Layrisson; his grandparents, Salvadore and Ruth Rotolo, Juliette and Michael “Spike” Layrisson; his aunts, Gaynel Luke and Delores Stien; his uncle Felix Rotolo; his cousin Hope L. Pitre.
Born on November 2, 1973, Lil Spike lived a life filled with adventure and passion. For over 30 years, he was blessed to have a loving wife by his side. His marriage was the foundation of his happiness, and the bond he shared with his spouse was unbreakable. Michael excelled as a computer drafter for Southern Walls and Windows where he utilizing his keen eye for detail and his unwavering dedication. His love for the sea ran deep, and Michael was an accomplished commercial fisherman. Not to be forgotten are his fur babies, Maddy and Bouderaux, his beloved companions who brought immeasurable joy and unwavering loyalty into his life. Michael greatest pleasure was spending time outdoors hunting. He will forever be remembered and deeply missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 11:00AM- 1:00PM. A mass will begin at 1:00PM.
