Michele "Shelly" Serpas Murana

Michele “Shelly” Serpas Murana passed away with family by her side on Sunday, December 17, 2023. She was 60 years old. Beloved wife to the late Vincent Murana Sr. Mother of Vincent Murana Jr. (Helena), Mrs. Stephanie Frazer (London Sr.), Kevin Murana (Lee Ann) and Thomas Murana (Jamie). Survived by four children, five grandchildren Michaiah Murana, Vincent Murana III, Elijah Murana, London Frazer Jr., and Evan Frazer, one great granddaughter, Averie Murana. Five sisters, Holly Ridgel (Jesse), Mary Guidry (John), Patricia Serpas, Lisa Murana (Gary), and Karen Delos Reyes (Christian). Many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her late husband, Vincent Murana Sr., parents, Philip Serpas and Betty Bright; a brother, Philip Serpas and a granddaughter, Beth Rose Murana.

Earlier on Michele worked for the St. Bernard Parish School transportation dept for years as a school bus aide. As a good pass time she enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, joker poker, watching true crime TV, biography movies, listening to music and cooking for her big family to enjoy. She will be missed immensely by all that knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 11:00AM- 1:00PM. A funeral will begin at 1:00PM. Burial will follow in ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL GARDENS.
