Mitchell Felix Bell

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mitchell "Mickey" Felix Bell, a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He was the loving husband to Tammy Martin Bell for 35 wonderful years. Caring father to Kristi Bell (Dwayne Cangelosi), Keri Bell Melerine (David) and Kaci Bell (Ethan Welch). Grandfather to Cullen Cangelosi, Kelsi Cangelosi, Kenzi Cangelosi, Lia Melerine, Paisley Melerine and Harper Melerine. Proud brother of Carolyn Bell Bourgeois and Grady Bell Jr. (Cheryle); son-in-law to Kenneth Martin; brother-in-law to Dina Kreps (Richard). He is preceded in death by his parents Grady Bell Sr. and Ethel Morales Bell; his mother-in-law, Linda Martin. He leaves behind nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Mitchell was born in New Orleans on November 15, 1962. He shared a one of a kind love with his devoted wife, Tammy. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his girls and doting on his grandchildren. His eyes would light up with happiness at the mention of their names and he took pride in their accomplishments and milestones. He found pleasure in woodworking and making handcrafted gifts for his family. Mickey enjoyed trying new restaurants and going on dinner dates with his wife. He was also a devoted Saints fan. He leaves us with only great memories. Mickey was laid back, non judgmental, patient, creative, honorable, selfless, loving and just everything good. Rest in peace, Poppa.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM. A memorial service will begin at 1:00 PM.
