Murvin Hymel Sr. passed away peacefully on July 9, 2014, at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Rita Mauer Hymel of 61 years. Father to Murvin Hymel Jr. (Maryann), and Laura Hymel Billiot (Tony). Son of the late Sampson and Blanche Hymel, he is also preceded in death by his sister Shirley Wigginton and brothers Wilbert Hymel, and Ronald Hymel. A native of New Orleans, and Army veteran, he was a member of Union IBEW Local 130, the Bayou Gun Club, and the St. Bernard Pistol and Riffle Range. He is survived by his grandchildren Craig Hymel, Ryan Hymel, Erika Billiot, Valerie Billiot, and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation to be held at ST.
