With deep love and heavy hearts, we remember and celebrate the life of Ollie Henry, a woman whose warmth, laughter, and boundless compassion left a mark on everyone she met. Ollie passed away peacefully, surrounded by those she loved most, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and unforgettable memories. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Lange (Johnny); her grandchildren, Russell (Ashlyn), Nikki, David (Samantha), Brandon (Angie), Courtney (Mark), Madison (Luke) and Alexis; her 17 great- grandchildren; her brother, Larry. Ollie is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Henry; her grandson, Joshua; her mother, Cecile St. Romain and her siblings, Barbara and Joseph.
Ollie was a devoted mother and an extraordinary grandmother. Her love knew no bounds—she cared for her grandchildren with the same fierce, protective love she gave her own child. But her definition of “grandchild” extended far beyond blood. Any child she took in became hers completely, without hesitation or condition. Whether they were family by birth or by heart, Ollie gave each of them the same unwavering love, guidance, and protection. She showed up for every scraped knee, every hard day, and every joyful moment—her arms always open, her love always full. Her home was a haven, and her heart even bigger. She never hesitated to open her door to those in need, and she made everyone feel like they belonged. Her willingness to help, to give without expecting anything in return, was simply who she was. She raised generations with patience, strength, and a spark of humor that made even the hardest days a little brighter.
Ollie had a way of making life memorable. She was bold, full of personality, and completely unapologetic in being herself. Whether you were ready or not, you were alone for the ride, and chances are, you’re grateful for every twist and turn. Some moments might not have felt fun at the time, but they’ve become the stories we’ll laugh about and cherish forever. She taught us that love is not limited by blood, that family is built on heart, and that some of the best memories are the ones that come wrapped in chaos, laughter, and the unique spirit only she could bring. She will be missed dearly by her family, friends, and all those lucky enough to have been wrapped in her rare and unwavering love. Though she’s no longer with us, her spirit, her lessons, and the echoes of her laughter live on in every life she touched. Rest easy, Ollie — or as most knew her, Marie. Thank you for loving all of us like your own.
