Patricia Bryan Fontana

Patricia Ann Bryan Fontana passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022, at the age of 77. She was the beloved mother of Frank Fontana (Sylvia), Richie Fontana (Shannon), Kristine Fontana, and Mark Smith (Jesse); grandmother of Joshua (Tenika), Lauren, Devyn, Frank Jr., Mark Jr., Joey, Mallory, Rachele, Shane, Ellie, Jason and Jordan; great-grandmother of Lyukae and Nox; and sister of Michael Bryan (Sylvia), and Linda Bryan. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Frank James Fontana; by her parents, the late Dorothy and William Bryan; and by her brothers, the late Emmanuel Bryan (Florence), and the late Anthony Bryan (the late Carol). Pat is also survived my many other relatives, and dear friends.

Patricia was born in New Orleans and lived in St. Bernard Parish for most of her life, where she enjoyed a successful career in banking. She began as a Bank Teller at First NBC Bank but was rapidly promoted to the position of Personal Banker, and then to Supervisor, overseeing the daily functions of other Bank Tellers. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, wife, and friend. She will be eternally missed by those she leaves behind.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue Street, in Chalmette, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. A funeral service will begin in her memory at 1:00 PM. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
