Philip Juan Ferrer Sr.

Philip Juan Ferrer Sr. passed away on Friday, July 1, 2016 at the age of 75. He was the cherished husband of the late Mary Elizabeth Battle Ferrer for 53 years and father of the late Philip J. Ferrer, Jr. Loving father of Sam Ferrer (wife Colleen) and Dana F. Alvarez (husband Fausto). Son of the late Jose J. Ferrer and Bertha N. Ferrer. Proud grandfather of Jeanne Ferrer, Candace F. Carpenter (husband Jonathan), Brandi F. Ender ( husband Woody) , Philip J. Ferrer III (wife Tabitha), Isabella Alvarez, and Cyleigh Ferrer. Great grandfather of Jason Carpenter and Philip "J" Ferrer IV, Katerina Ferrer and Josephine Ender. Brother of Dennis J. Ferrer, Leandro J. Ferrer, Catalina F. Mullen, and the late Francisco J. Ferrer. Also survived by extended family and many friends. Philip was a long time resident of St. Bernard Parish and owner of Phil’s Auto Repair of Violet, LA. He was a proud veteran of the US Army and had a great love for travel and adventure with his wife, family and close friends. He will be forever remembered and deeply missed by his family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, July 8, 2016 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
