

Randall L. Trudeau passed away at 11:28 PM on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the age of 69. He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Peggy Z. Trudeau; his four children Jennifer Preslipsky, Jeannie Nehlig, Justine Boudreaux and Jeffrey Trudeau; sons-in-law James Preslipsky, Damien Nehlig Sr. and Shaun Boudreaux; grandchildren Damien Nehlig Jr., Kayla Nehlig, Matthew Nehlig, Allison Boudreaux and Caleb Boudreaux. Preceded in death by his father Randall Trudeau; mother Irene Trudeau; sister Geraldine Houidobre and nephew Paul Houidobre. Randall was born on August 31, 1948 in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish. He was a proud United States Navy Veteran and after his service in the Navy he began working as a Navy Civilian and retired after many years of dedicated service. Randall had many hobbies and a vast array of interests. His knowledge of classic cars & trains, collection of clocks & bobble heads and passion for history was impressive but his dedication to daily weather “journals” was unprecedented. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and New Orleans Saints fan and enjoyed traveling with his family. He will be forever remembered for his quick wit one liners and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM. He will be laid with military honors in St. Louis No. 3 Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
