Robert Christopher Rapp

Robert Christopher Rapp passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at the age of 41. He was the beloved father of Angelle Rapp and Victoria Rapp. Devoted son of Robert W. Rapp (Sheryl) and Phylis Templet Sabel (Lenny). Brother of Ryan Rapp (Lyla). Step-brother of Robin Sabel Williams and Brian Sabel. Proud grandfather of Scarlette Jackson and Evangeline Jackson. Grandson of Dee Pomes and Mary Templet. He is also survived and fondly remembered by his uncle Christopher Pomes, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends. Robert was predeceased by his grandparents Philip J. Templet Jr., Louis Wayne Rapp, Bertrand “Bud” Pomes, Leonard Sabel and Isabelle Sabel.

Robert grew up in St. Bernard Parish and was a resident of New Orleans, LA where he enjoyed a long career as an electrician and truly enjoyed life through his simple pleasures of cooking and fishing. He found comfort in the company of friends & family and cared deeply for others. He was well loved by many and affectionately known for his good nature and generous heart. Although it may feel that Robert has been taken from us far too soon, those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. His presence in our lives was a wonderful opportunity to create lasting memories.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Tuesday, July 26th from 9:00AM – 12:00PM, followed by a funeral service in Robert’s memory beginning at 12:00PM. He will be laid to eternal rest in St. Lazarus of Bethany Memorial Gardens in Covington, LA.
