In 2020 he underwent a liver transplant surgery, unfortunately he started experiencing complications over the past six months. He was preceded in death by his sister Bertha Pitcher and her husband Ruben “Sparks” Pitcher along with both his in-laws Louis and Loretta Guerra. He is survived by his wife Miriam Herbert, his daughter Melissa Herbert (fiancé Ty Coyle) and his brother Paul Herbert Jr.
Per his request he was cremated and a small private family viewing was held. If you would like to honor him, a donation may be made in his name to the Legacy Donor Foundation at 504-558-8900 or organawareness.org
