Royce John Cooper Sr. passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at the age of 84 in Picayune, MS due to Dementia. Mr. Cooper was greeted in heaven by his loving late wife Myra S. Cooper & his late parents Roy & Isabell Cooper. He is survived by 2 children R.J. & Wendy Dorberth; a son-in-law Tim Dorberth; and 5 grandsons Craig Dorberth, Austin Dorberth, Roy Cooper, Gary Cooper, & Frank Cooper. He was a loving and caring father and grandfather, and in his younger years an avid and talented bowler. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Mr. Cooper enjoyed a long career in the building material business for over 50 years. He was well loved and will be deeply missed by his family and by all those whose lives he touched. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Tuesday, December 27th from 10:00AM – 1:00PM, followed by a funeral service in Royce’s memory beginning at 1:00PM. He will be laid to rest next to his wife Myra in Westlawn Memorial Park, Gretna, LA.
