Savella "Sue" Stann Riche

Savella “Sue” Stann Riche passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at the age of 89. She was the cherished wife of the late Lloyd A. Riche. Loving mother of Karen Hansen (Gary), Sharon Melancon (Walter), Bryan Riche (the late Sonya) and the late Eric Riche. Daughter of the late Oran Stann and Angelique Treadaway Stann. Proud grandmother Jason, David, Kristy, Tonya, Amanda, Stephanie and Stacy. Great grandmother of Katelyn, Louis Jr., Kaylee, Kaidon, Kinsleigh, Abram, August, Liam, Ella, Brady, Brenna, Remy and Shay. She was preceded in death by her seven siblings. Also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Sue was born on March 4, 1932 in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish. She loved bingo, music and cooking. She especially enjoyed cooking on Sunday’s and gathering with her family to enjoy one another’s company. Sue was strong in her faith and was a devoted Catholic.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Monday, October 4, 2021 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens. Due to COVID-19, face masks and social distancing are required. In lieu of flowers, Masses preferred.
