Sylvester L. Bruard passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at the age of 67. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that he had touched in some way throughout his life. He was the beloved husband of 32 years to Roberta Lepine Bruard. Loving father of Lewis Bruard, Jolene Bruard, Jolie Bruard, Angelle Bruard and Gabrielle Bruard. Son of the late Elmer and Maybelle Williams Bruard. Brother of Elmer Bruard, Marcella Perret and Calvin Bruard. Proud grandfather of Layne Bruard and Chevis Simon. He is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Sylvester was a dedicated husband, a loving father and friend to many. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were touched by his love, kindness, laughter and compassion. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, June 20th from 10:00AM – 12:00PM, followed by a celebration of his life beginning at 12:00PM. He will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery.
