Wallace "Buddy" A. LeBouef, Jr. passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at the age of 58. He was preceded in death by his parents Wallace A. LeBouef, Sr. and Betsy Guerra LeBouef, and his sister Sarina LeBouef. He is survived by his siblings Laura Lee LeBouef Bertucci (Emile), Melissa LeBouef Mangipano (Vincent) and Cecilia LeBouef Piacun (Andrew).
Buddy was a quiet type but a hard worker. He enjoyed everyone's company and people who knew Buddy enjoyed his company. He enjoyed playing with the children, the grandchildren. He also enjoyed the sport of fishing and hunting. He seemed to know where the fish were biting and when hunting, was an excellent deer hunter who knew how to find the big bucks.
Buddy never did marry or have children and lived in lower St. Bernard. Not only was he a commercial fisherman, he was an excellent welder who worked years for Brown & Root at the BP Oil Refinery. His welding knowledge helped many repair their equipment and boats. He was forced to stop welding due to health issues.
His health issues and hand shaking didn't stop Buddy. He laughed when his hands shook so much he could not tie his fishing hooks on his line. He said it was just a little inconvenience and that the hands shaking helped him catch more fish because his lures jumped better in the water. He was always looking at the good side of things and he never complained about his health challenges to anyone.
We're all going to miss him. He was such a good example of a true gentleman. May he rest in peace.
