William “Billy” MacArthur Klaus, age 75, a former employee of the ILA International Longshoreman Association, passed away peacefully in New Orleans, on January 14, 2018. Billy was born in San Antonio, Texas. The son of his late parents, Mary Whaley and Joseph August Klaus, he was the beloved husband of the late Varonica “Ronnie” Ann Zerrudo. He is survived by his son, William M. Klaus, Jr., his grandchildren, Andreux D. Savoy, Dylan T. Klaus and Griffin A. Klaus, his great grandchild Kayden Logan Klaus, his sister Nellie Klaus Stevens, his brother Joseph A. Klaus, and sister in law Karen Schiro Klaus. His late brothers and sisters are: Mary Ellen Klaus Griffin, Peter Klaus, Louis Klaus, John Klaus, Alexander Klaus, Chester Klaus and Patricia Klaus Taylor. A private memorial will be celebrated at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Friday, January 26, 2018, at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to your local hospice organization, or Alzheimer’s organization.
