William Christopher Weir

William Christopher Weir passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at the age of 84. He was the cherished husband of the late Patricia Barras Weir for 47 years. Loving father of Brenda W. Lemoine, Lisa W. LeFebvre and Kris W. Eastwood. Son of the late David M. and Rosalie Calabresi Weir. Brother of Shirley Basford and the late Raymond Weir and Nellrose Songy. Proud grandfather of Dr. Lori Lemoine, Glenn Lemoine, Elizabeth LeFebvre, Elvin LeFebvre IV, Noah LeFebvre and Nicholas LeFebvre. Great grandfather of Kayln Lemoine and Eleanor Claire Legg. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. William proudly served his country in the Unites States Army through two tours during the Korean War. He enjoyed old western movies and was an avid gun collector who was awarded many trophies for his marksmanship. William was a member of IBEW Local 130. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a loving and loyal husband, father, grandfather, brother and a friend of many who loved his cowboy boots and treasured his family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM. He will be laid to rest with military honors in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
