Eunice TenHaken Heistand, 99, passed away on Friday April 3, 2026. Eunice was the wife of the late James R. Heistand. Born December 1, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Alva & Mary TenHaken. She graduated form Sheboygan Falls High School in 1944 and attended Sheboygan County Teachers College for two years. She taught under an emergency certification for two years in a one-room school in Sheboygan County. Eunice married James, in Hershey, PA on June 30, 1948. She graduated from Millersville University in 1960 and taught elementary education in York County. Music was her passion, having played the violin since 5th grade. Surviving are sons; Robert (Lucinda) and Terry, four grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Menno Haven Benevolent Fund, Chambersburg, PA. Services will be private.
