Robert Lee Bowman

Born on July 4,1953,in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, Robert was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who cherished his family deeply.

Throughout his life, Robert worked tirelessly in various capacities to support his loved ones. His passion for vehicles and fondness for watching westerns were rivaled only by his love for the Ford Company, a testament to his admiration for classic Americana.

Robert was the beloved husband of Ellen Bowman, whom he married on April 20, 1974; the cherished father of Dustin Bowman(Jennifer), and Matthew Bowman(Melissa); and the proud grandfather of Haley, Sophia and Jackson Bowman. He is also survived by his siblings, Linda Goshorn(Carl), Donald Bowman, Rick Bowman(Sue), Carol Cornell and sister-in-law, Katherine Peck as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Grace Bowman and his wife’s parents, Lawrence and Kathleen Peck along with brothers-in-law Jeffrey Peck, John Cornell and sister-in-law, Denise(Kathy) Bowman.

A graveside service, officiated by Pastor Bill Shank, will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 10:00 am at Parklawns Funeral Home, Memorial Gardens & Mausoleum, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania in the Freedom Garden.

His life will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his joy in his grandchildren's achievements, and his jokester style of showing his love.
