Annette Renee (A.J.) Jordan, beloved partner, daughter, sister and aunt lost a courageous battle with cancer on June 6, 2011. A.J. was born on April 29, 1960 in Parkersburg, West Virginia. She is survived by her life partner of 25 years, Cindy Dodds, parents John and Janet, sisters Janie Pennock (Dan), Mary and Susan as well as brother John (Renee). She is also survived by nieces and nephews Daniel and Lucas Pennock, Amy Traugh, Alexander, Nicholas, and Camden Jordan, grandnephew Isaac Pennock and grandniece Lillian Traugh. A.J. is preceded in death by her twin sisters, paternal grandparents George B and Hattie Jordan and maternal grandparents Alva and Aulene Barnett.
She served honorably as a mechanic in the U.S. Air Force and is survived by a host of beloved Air Force comrades and co-workers at Southwest Airlines.
Donations to Hospice of the Valley or American Cancer Society are requested in lieu of flowers. A memorial service will be held in Chandler, Arizona on Thursday, June 9 at 11:00AM at Valley of the Sun Mortuary and Cemetery on Chandler Heights Road.
