

Beverly Kelly, 71, Sunlakes Az, died July 26, 2013 in her home. She was born to the late Amy and Lloyd Boyd, December 21, 1941 in Denver, Co. Beverly graduated high school from Brownell Hall in Omaha NE and attended the University of Nebraska Lincoln. She is preceded in death by her late husband Francis Kelly.
Beverly loved to travel which included going on cruises; visiting England, the home of her grandparents; and taking her grandchildren to Disneyland. After retiring, Beverly volunteered at the sheriff’s posse in Sunlakes and recently enjoyed playing cards as well as going out to lunch and dinner with friends.
Beverly also loved football and during football season could be found watching the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Saturdays and the Denver Broncos as well as the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
Beverly is survived by: Her daughters Amy Schools, of Fremont NE and Heidi Appel of Chandler, AZ and her step daughter Kerry Lynster of Florida as well as seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday August 3, 2013, 1 pm, at Valley of the Sun in Chandler, AZ.
Knowing Beverly’s love of her grandchildren, and the Nebraska Cornhuskers, the family is requesting instead of flowers a donation be made in her name to the Team Jack Foundation which is doing research for pediatric brain cancer.
