Bruno L. Wegner

Wegner, Bruno 74, of Ahwatukee, passed away on April 6, 2014. He was born in Kovno, Lithuania on September 17, 1939 and raised in Bavaria. With his parents they came to America in 1952 and lived in Connecticut until coming to Arizona in 1995 with his job at Allied Signal. He was a Reliability Engineer at Honeywell, only retiring on January 3, 2014 after 51.5 years of working for the Company. Bruno graduated from Hillhouse High School in the class of 1958, the next year he and his wife Dottie were married on June 13, 1959. They almost had 55 years of marriage. Bruno later graduated from the University of New Haven. Bruno is survived by his loving wife Dorothy (Dottie), Son Bruce (Kathy), Daughter Diane (Greg) and Grandchildren, Samantha Rose Goodwin in New Haven, Connecticut, Bryan Anthony Wegner in Mesa, Arizona, Samantha Lynn Possemato, and Andrew David Possemato in Charlestown, Rhode Island. He was predeceased by his Parents Leopold and Franziska (Frances) Stankevich Wegner, Brother Waldemir Wegner, Sister Margarete (Grete) Poppensieker, and Stepdaughter Mindy Beth Goodwin. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 12:00 noon, with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM at Valley of the Sun Mortuary 10940 E Chandler Heights Road, Chandler, Arizona 85248.
