DASKALAKIS, Constantine, age 86, formerly of Chandler, Arizona, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021. He was born on January 17, 1935, to George and Elpiniki Daskalakis. After high school he served in the Greek Royal Navy, and while stationed in San Diego, California, in 1960, he met his future wife, Fotoula Koutris. They wrote letters every day to each other for three years before being married in Greece on June 9, 1963. He moved to San Diego after their wedding and began working with his father-in-law at their market. He branched off to open his own meat market in 1982, and then had a successful food distribution business. He tried to retire and then dabbled in the handyman arena. He just couldn’t sit still for a second. Constantine lived an amazing life, full of faith, love and a lot of laughter. He touched every single person that came in contact with him. He was truly one of a kind and quite the jokester.
Constantine is survived by his brother Niko Daskalakis, sister Mary Perrakis, daughter Tina Demopoulos (Chris), daughter Nicole Pyle (David), grandchildren Anastasia Demopoulos, Francesca Demopoulos, Constantine Pyle, David Pyle and his adorable great-grandson Javian.
