Our beloved mother, Cynthia Joycline Banna, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2024, at the beautiful age of 90. Born in Yankton, South Dakota, Cynthia and her sister experienced the vibrant and ever-changing life of a military family, which filled her early years with a sense of adventure.
In the 1950s, Cynthia married George Banna, and they created a joyful home in Libertyville, Illinois. Cynthia was an exceptional wife, mother and homemaker. Her talents in the fiber arts, especially quilting, were a source of inspiration and mentorship to many who shared her passion for sewing. Her life was a tapestry woven with an abundance of love.
Cynthia was a cherished member of her community in Sun Lakes, known for her kindness and strength. She leaves behind a rich legacy of love, having touched countless lives with her warmth and generosity. Predeceased by her husband George and sister Marguerite, Cynthia is survived by her sons Kevin Banna, Sean Banna and Brian Banna; her grandchildren Matthew, Isabelle, Joshua, Cameron, Carley, and Kelley; and numerous friends who felt blessed by her presence.
She always counted her blessings and had room in her heart for those less fortunate. Cynthia will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she loved.
