Dawn Marie Bates, age 85, of Sun Lakes, Arizona passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024. She was born in Deposit, New York on August 4, 1938. She was married to Ernest Floyd Bates Sr. on March 28, 1955 in Douglas, Arizona. Dawn worked at Motorola 28 years and had a successful career as a Computer System Analyst and Manager.
Dawn was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She had a gentle, kind and generous spirit. Dawn was intelligent, positive and a quick-witted woman. She loved going to her cabin in Pinetop, going on walks, and spending time with her family. She was always smiling and would light up a room. She will be dearly missed.
Dawn was survived by her husband Ernest Floyd Bates Sr.; children Ernest Bates Jr. and Julie Ann Bates; grandchild Ryan Bates; great-grandchild Connor Bates; sister Frances Roth and brother Bernard Roth. She was preceded in death by her mother Gertrude Roth; sister Laura Roth Hogan and her son Kevin Douglas Bates.
Family will be having a private memorial.
