

Dawn Marie Pulford-Rasso was born April 25, 1961 in Moline Illinois to Jack Pulford and Constance Friedman. She has a younger brother, Mark Pulford, a younger half-brother, Todd Dean and a step-sister Kelly Dean. As a child, Dawn played softball and was a Brownie and a Girl Scout. She loved being with her family and playing with her many cousins. She also enjoyed hiking and going to the park with her Grandma Rene and Aunt Sharon and going to stock car races with her Grandma P. In 9th grade, while attending Washington Junior High, her bowling team won the State Championship. As a child, her best friends included her cousins Debbie, Jacquie, Ruth, and Beckie, as well as friends Debbie Cole and Anne Skronski. Dawn moved to Villa Park, Illinois and attended Willowbrook High School where she was on the bowling team and in photography. In High School, she fell in love with motorcycles and became part of the F-Troop motorcycle club where she met lifelong best friend Lori Janssen as well as a number of other lifelong friends. She was so proud of being in demolition derby's in her early 20's. On January 19, 1990, Dawn was married to Fred Rasso in Moline. Dawn had 2 daughters, Amber Campbell and Melinda (Lindy) Montes and 2 step-daughters, Nicole Salinas and Shilah Johnson. Her girls were her world. She loved taking them to see the eagles along the Mississippi River, hiking in Blackhawk State Park, and going downtown Chicago. She was a die hard Chicago Bears Football fan and a lover of Harley Davidson. Her and Fred attended many games and concerts and spent much time on the motorcycle. In February of 2002, Dawn and family moved to Chandler Arizona. She fell in love with the mountains and cactus and loved being closer to her parents. She was blessed with 8 grandchildren Tanner (8), Colton (7), Kylie (2), Jacob (11months), Nic (14), Henna (10), Ella (13) and Kingston (6). She loved taking her grandchildren bowling, mini golfing, to arcades and watching their sporting events. She was the proudest grandma ever and constantly talked about her kids and grandkids. Her family was everything and loved spending as much time with family as possible. She had 2 Husky dogs, Jazzi and Maya who she loved taking on rides to the mountains. Dawn had more friends than anyone could count and never made an enemy. She was always willing to help anyone no more the sacrifice to herself. She was a magnet, people were drawn to her and couldn't help but love her. There is not a person who knew her who is not devastated by her loss.
