My mom was an inspiration to those she touched with her life. She helped those willing to help themselves. She lived life her way. She showed love and tough love no matter how much you screwed up as long as you were an adult admitted, repented, she loved you.

She loved babies and kids the same as her pets. They were her children later in life.

She would ride me on a horse as a child and ride a motorcycle to the store with me in tow. No matter who claimed she said she had to get things done and not having a car was not going to stop her.
 
I learned these lessons and most i passed on to my daughter Kiersten. Kiersten was little i took her fishing in the Verde River it was 90 plus degrees Mom got mad and through a fit but later understood that that was exactly how i was raised. and if Kiersten wanted to fish swim play in the water i was going to let her.

Mom loved her patient as Nurse she was there biggest advocate she always said Nurse's protect the patient from the Dr's.
She would be a tiger on the stupid Dr"s if they were not paying attention she stood her ground.

I learned this and I stood mine right or wrong she loved me. Be the Oak tree with strong roots bend in the wind but do not move, that's how I am mom.

I pushed the limits a lot but she loved me.

One time I had job to build Dr Dietriech one of worlds best cardio Dr she worked with and she told me that if i messed there would be hell. Well you know I did my best and the cleanroom was built and turned over in 9 days from design to co from city. that ole Dr ask me to build him 4 more. I suppose the pressure was on but i learned from her do not let them see you sweat.

Later she ask why plumbing because i am the only person standing between the stupid ones to protect the American water and keep diseases from spreading. I said I am a Dr with a pipe wrench and the brains to help. She laughed.

I love and miss you Mom.

But everything is good I will watch and teach those you ask me too.




Diana treated me like one of her own; she fed me delicious home-cooked meals, included me in daily outings and events, took me to church, and also put me to work around the house.  Diana and her family were the ones who first introduced me to biscuits and gravy (a real game changer!) and is still a favorite of mine to this day! I have many fond memories of spending time at the Farley's home, many of which included countless nights staying up late with Kiersten where our late starts the next day were always greeted with the sweet smell of breakfast.  I will miss her dearly!!

Thr Beasley and Stilgenbauer families would like to express our thoughts and prayers to your families now. Please know that we hold Diana in a special place in our hearts. God bless your family!

Will always remember Diane. Such a positive person. She made a desert called Peach Kutchen....?? Spelling.....for a cottage prayer meeting and  it was so delicious I asked her to  put the recipe in the church recipe book that was printed. It stands today in memory of her. It's not good bye though....just "see you later".

What a sweet, wonderful, beautiful woman you were. You were such an amazing friend to my Mother and you helped lift me up even at my darkest, most broken times in life. I was blessed to have known you and will forever carry your memories in my heart. I know you and my Mom had such a beautiful reunion and one day we will all be back together again❤ I Love You Aunt Di!

I never knew Diana personally just through FB but she was the most loving and caring person.  She always cared about the lose of my son and what I was going through.  I miss her kind words and the love she had for everyone. My heart goes out to her family and friends. You are in my thoughts and prayers.  She will always be loved and missed.  Shirley Lamb 

Dear Mom,

I’m writing to you now, under the worst circumstances. It has been three weeks since I last saw your warm smile and three weeks since I last heard your voice. I do, however, have that voicemail from you requesting we run errands together, and I will keep that for as long as I can, as it is the only thing I have left to recall your voice and it is the last time I will ever hear you say you love me. I’m just so sad that we didn’t get to run those errands that week and so sad for many other reasons, but mostly sad because our sweet Ethan will never witness, first hand, the amazing woman that you are. I know you didn’t have to, but I’m grateful for what you did, when no one else would. You have taught me so many things and so much of who I am today is because of you. I remember when I was younger, I swore I would never “turn out like my mother,” and shortly into my twenties, friends were saying, “You sound just like your mom.”  I understand now and take those comments as compliments. You loved without judgement and loved with no end. You taught me the value of learning and the thrill of traveling. I will visit those places we always talked about and I will think of you every step along the way.

Every day is different without you and every day brings on new challenges. The only solace I have, is knowing you are now in a better place, free of pain. You left too soon. I needed more time with you. You should be here. I always said I would say this at your funeral, but when the time came, I didn’t have the strength. Mostly because, I still can’t believe you’re gone. But, like sands through the hour glass, so are the days of our lives. For every joke, every tease, every memory, I will think of you. You are the fiercest, smartest, kindest, prettiest, best person – daughter – wife – mother that anyone could possibly imagine. I thank you, I miss you, I admire you, I will cherish you, I will think of you often; I love you, Mom.

Hey Kiersten, I know it’s been a very long time since we’ve talked, but I just saw your post about your mom. I can’t imagine what you’re going through and I’m so sorry for your loss. She was a wonderful woman and I have such fond memories of  her from when we were younger. I just wanted to let you know my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family ❤️❤️

My heart is shattered by this Sweet Ladie's passing from her earthly life.  Although I'm so sorry for the family and friend's grief in this great loss, I find peace in knowing she is at peace and with our Lord and Savior, Jesus.  Diana and I met on the ICU at St. Mary's Hospital in Huntington where we were Registered Nurses.  A lifelong bond of friendship quickly formed.  We both went to work later on together at the CCU/medical floor at Charleston Medical Center-Memorial Division and worked there, sharing rides for the drive for almost two years.  I missed her so much when she and her family moved to Arizona. I visited them there several times in Chandler.  She was the perfect Hostess, always as if we had never been separated as we just picked up where we had left off.  We found ways to laugh together and find a way to cope and support each other when we had sad experiences such as the tragedies of a child passing, and all who often suffered with a major illness or trauma.  She was always compassionate and caring, with expert, diligent, loving care of each and every patient in her care.  I respected and admired her diligence, hard work ethic. She more than carried her load, and would help anyone with their work load if needed.  Earth lost a Sainted Woman, A beautiful soul, inside and out.  Heaven Gained An Angel.  I will mourn for her and miss her all my days remaining on this earth.  I know I will see her again.  My prayers will continue for Gary, her children, grandchildren, and all her family. I first met Diana in 1997 when I was engaged to her Uncle Bill Johnston, her Dad Alva's brother, and we were in Arizona for Bill to compete in the Senior Olympics.  Even though I was 31 years younger than her Uncle she immediately made me feel welcome.  I remember her cooking for us and taking me shopping.  We also went to see Kiersten play softball and I got to meet a lot of the family.  I was privileged to be married to her Uncle for 16 1/2 years until he passed away in 2014...I know it will be a wonderful reunion in Heaven.  She will be missed by all who knew her.  Thoughts and prayers for Gary and family during this difficult time.

My dad and Diana's dad were brothers. I can vaguely remember Diana for the first time when I was young but the one thing that stands out vividly is how pretty she was.  We have visited each other several times after that and I honestly think she gets prettier as time passes.  I kept in touch thru Facebook and we shared stories and pictures. I do keep in touch with her dad and his wife.  Family was always so precious to her and I think that is why she chased me down on Facebook, just so we could keep family together.  Thank you so much for teaching me that beauty can be both inside and out.  You were beautiful then and you're still beatuful.  Love and miss you, may God give you wings to soar with the angels. 

Diana was a wonderful Aunt.  Lots of memories of summer vacations. Fun multiple trips to Universal, Disney, Rawhide, and Mexico with Aunt Diana and Family. Lots of trips to movie theaters. We loved some Clint Eastwood action. She had some ridiculous skills at figuring out a films plot.  She was loved and will be missed.  

Diana Farley was a kind, gracious and caring woman. Anytime I would go over to the house she would always treat me like part of the family. When we all went on that winter vacation to Italy and I got homesick because it was Christmas and I was away from my family. She treated me with so much love that all my uneasy feelings just melted away. That vacation and all those memories are still some of my favorites. She will be dearly missed and always loved and celebrated. 

Diana was one of my favorite cousins and was like the big sister I never had.  Growing up in Columbus when we would go to Barboursville to visit she would always come pick me up and take me to her and Gary's house for a day or two.  They came to Columbus many times to visit and bring her mom to visit us and was always so much fun.  I remember going to the Ohio State Fair with her, Gary, little Gary, and Valerie and her brothers Junior and Eddie, probably back in the 70's and how much fun we had.  She was always so sweet and kind to everyone she met.  She loved her family, her fur babies, and her flowers.  I went to WV a couple years ago when she was there visiting.  Though I only got to visit with her for a short time, I am forever grateful I did go to see her, I just wish I would have taken pictures.  She and Gary welcomed me and my now ex-husband into their home back in 2006.  That was my only time being in AZ and she made sure I enjoyed it and took me to the mall and other areas she knew I would like.  I always wanted to go back to visit her again.  I will miss you Diana.  I am glad you are no longer sick or in pain and with your mom and brothers.  Myself, Danny, and Harold have always loved and adored you.  We will all meet again some day.  Gary, Val, Kiersten, and Gary Jr.  we love  you and are holding you close to our hearts today and always. 

When we think of Diane memories flood our soul. From the time they were dating and we were the youth counselors (Boy could we tell some tells about them)All kidding aside they were always wonderful kids. As they became adults we shared more wonderful times. David and Gary were Deacons of Elmwood Baptist Church that’s when we really became close. The Lord placed a bond between us that has never been broken only stronger as the years have gone by ,to quickly I might add. Diane was like a sister to me we loved each other so much as we talked during her last illness she was never concerned about herself but only David and I . that is who Diane was so compassionate of others. Don’t get me wrong she was so strong willed she could put u in your place real fast. Lol I cherish the 4 weeks we shared 3 summers ago as they camped out in my side yard, we had the best fellowship and lots of eating, that came with the territory. Lol . She felt so bad most of the time but she kept up a good front, still trying to make their trip a good experience. We love u our Precious Friend will be seeing u soon. I can see u now Praising the Lord whom u loved so very much. To know Diane was to see her love for her Savior. You certainly fought a good fight and u WON THE WAR. We love u still and will always hold u precious in our hearts. She loved her family and was so proud of them that was evident.Her eyes would light up as she talked about them as we know they loved her too. Thank God for his promises of being reunited!!One last thing we r so Thankful for FaceTime that we were able to talk and see each other especially the last few weeks of her life. That was a real blessing!!

My sweet sisterinlaw you will be missed so much. I was very blessed to have you in our lives. Even though we were miles apart you always made me feel like family and loved.  I know you are in a better place and enjoying reuniting with your family in heaven .
