Diego came into this world with a lot of "unknown". Unknown if he would live past day 1 or even past the age of 7. Our warrior conquered against all the odds. He redefined the word resilience & strength. He made his presence on this world and brought people together. He taught us a new way to communicate, love and conquer. His big brown eyes and long eye lashes would melt anyone's heart. He was the best big brother, cousin, nephew, grandson and most importantly the best son.
We know none of this would be possible without the support of our tribe. We owe many thanks to Dr Berger- without you and your guidance we would have not navigated through this journey. Thank you to all of his home nurses, therapists and teachers that were committed to making him comfortable and happy. To our family and friends- Thank you for always standing by our side and loving our family. We are very appreciative of the sacrifices you have made to support Diego's dynamics.
Lastly, Diego was a big brother to Cristian and Sienna. Diego has given them a gift that can not be taught. He has given them a different lens to see life with a big heart and no judgement. He has shown them how to be patient, kind and understanding. Cristian and Sienna have always stood very tall for Diego and they will continue to stand tall to keep his memory alive.
It has truly been our biggest honor to be your parents Go-Go. Mommy & Daddy will continue to be strong because that is the best way to honor you.
