Dear Chan, George, Elliot and Family and Friends, We were so sorry to hear of the loss of Dorothy.  We were glad to see her at the Wedding in December. We will send a donation to the Hospice or to you if you prefer. We will remember her in our Prayers.  Uncle Frank and Aunt Mary Ann

Grandma Dot was a great woman. She always was kind and love radiated from her all the time. I will miss her.

You were my rock - my anchor - my biggest cheerleader. You taught me to be independent, strong and free. You once told me I could do anything I wanted as long as it did not land me in jail. Wise words that were my guide in life.You sent me to horse camp - put me through college - bought me my first horse - you made dreams come true.I remember how you cried when they hauled that old 50s Buick away - even though it had a hole in the floorboard and you were getting that huge,ugly, green-with-the-fins Cadilac. I remember how you waited on the corner for me to come home from school when they sent us home when JFK was murdered.You and Pops took Chan and me on the best family vacations ever all across the country and even to Alaska - memories I have to this day.So many memories...

I know it must have been difficult for you at times to have a "wild child" on your hands but you handled it  - even when you disagreed.You were always there - you never let me down when it counted.
 
In my naivety I thought you would always be here - like the sun and the moon.Now you are back in the universe - stardust - if one chooses to believe the science - which I do.You are in the night sky-shining brightly - streaking across the sky on new adventures - in a new and different reality. I was the best daughter I knew to be and you were the best Ma you knew to be and that ultimately is all that matters.Thank you for everything. Thank you for the unconditional love.Thank you for letting me be who I had to be.
That was your greatest gift.
