

TSgt (Ret.) Douglas Bruce Ehle, born on December 19, 1961, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, regrettably passed away on July 2, 2024, in Sun Lakes, Arizona. He was a cherished husband to Billie and a devoted father to Natisha Reed, Edward, and Heather Spalding and her husband Ben. His grandchildren Braxton, JamesWilliam, Sofia, and Dane were the sources of immense joy in his life. Douglas was also a beloved brother to David Ehle and his wife Jill and their children and Scott Ehle and his wife Linda. His family was his greatest accomplishment. He is now resting peacefully in the arms of Our Lord with his parents Dave and Joanne Ehle and his youngest brother Timothy Ehle.
Doug’s zest for life was evident in all his endeavors. He selflessly served his country for 25 years, first as a US Coastguardsman and then as a distinguished USAF enlisted Airman. Additionally, from his passion for golf and bowling to his fascination with Star Trek and assembling model cars and planes, he embraced each day with enthusiasm. His exceptional grilling and smoking skills made him the ultimate host during family gatherings.
He will be remembered as a dedicated family man who consistently prioritized the well-being of others. His boundless kindness left a profound impact on numerous lives, as his generosity and compassion touched the hearts of many.
In addition to being a passionate sports enthusiast, particularly when supporting the Steelers, Doug possessed an insatiable curiosity for culinary television programs, which served as a source of inspiration for his culinary endeavors.
