

Gayle Blasing
December 27, 1938 – January 10, 2013
Gayle Norman “Fuzzy” Blasing passed away on January 10, 2013 at Hospice of the Valley, Ryan Home, with his loving family. He died peacefully after a long hospitalization following surgery. Gayle was born on December 27, 1938 in Glencoe, MN, to Ruth (Boerner) and Clarence Blasing. He was raised in Glencoe, MN, where he attended Glencoe High School, married his high school sweetheart, raised three children and had a great career at Harpel Bros. for more than 40 years. He had a zest for life and loved to golf, play cards with his friends, hunt and travel. Gayle will be remembered for his great sense of humor, generosity and friendship.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marjorie, and their three children and their spouses: Mike (Shawna) of Santa Clarita, CA, Steve (Gina) of Minot, ND and Sue of Minneapolis, MN. The true joy in his life was spending time with his four grandchildren: Lauren, Derek, Katie and Luke. Gayle is also survived by his sister Marilyn Johnson of Glencoe, MN and Len (Kathy) of Pine River, MN. Services will be held at Valley of the Sun Mortuary & Cemetery in Chandler, AZ, at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 12, 2013. This will be followed by a second service at Johnson-McBride Funeral Home and The Church of Saints Peter & Paul in Glencoe, MN, on February 9, 2013.
