Obituario de Gerald John Husarik
EN EL CUIDADO DE

Valley of the Sun Mortuary & Cemetery

Gerald “Gerry” John Husarik passed away on June 5, 2025 at the age of 77.

Born in Chicago, Gerry built a life filled with hard work and adventure. He attended 3 years of college at DePaul University before entering the steel industry where it led him and Kathy to open their own company in 1977. As the proud owner of Guardian Construction Products, Inc., he grew a successful business while always giving freely to those around him. Since 2022, he was a member of Pinal County Cowboy Church. Gerry also spent 6 years serving his country in the U.S. Army Reserves.

Gerry’s zest for life was unmatched. He enjoyed riding his scooter through town, shooting in the mountains and gambling. He loved traveling wherever his wife sent him, and he never missed a chance to cheer on his favorite sports teams.

In his younger years, Gerry thrived on the court and field. He enjoyed playing in softball and basketball leagues, cruising on his motorcycles, and visiting one of his favorite places—Marco Island, all while working tirelessly to build his company.

Above all, Gerry loved his family deeply. His greatest joy was making them happy and creating lasting memories. Gerry leaves behind a legacy of generosity, laughter, and unwavering love for his family. He will be missed more than words can say.

Gerry is survived by his wife of 56 years, Kathleen Lynne Husarik (née, Kacin); his daughters, Brenda Straube (Michael), Ellen Husarik, and Leslie Husarik; grandchildren, Tyler and Zachary Straube; his brothers, Philip, Robert, and David Husarik; nieces, Susan, Amy, and Allison and nephews, Bobby and Matt. He is preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Lillian Husarik; and his mother-in-law, Eleanor “Nani” Kacin.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Gerry’s memory to Paws for Purple Hearts, Tunnel to Towers, or the Wounded Warrior Project.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
