He was born in Bronx, NY on February 15, 1931. Gerald was married to Phyllis Birnbaum on June 8, 1958 in New York. "Jerry" worked in sales for 40 years.
He enjoyed retirement for many of his later years. He also volunteered at a local hospital. He was very proud to have volunteered for the Jewish War Veterans. A few of Jerry's passions were reading, playing poker, and the Phoenix Suns.
He was survived by his spouse Phyllis; children Amy and Mindy; grandchildren Chelsea, Jordanna, Alan, Joshua, Eric, Allie and Andrew; and great-grandchildren Nash, Ivy, Rhen, Navy and Alexander.
