Janice Sue Kelley

Janice Sue Kelley, age 78, of Sun Lakes, Arizona passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022. She was born in Inglewood, California on November 12, 1944. Janice graduated from Tyndall High School in 1962 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Dakota on 1969. She was married to John R. Kelley on August 24, 1968 in Tyndall, South Dakota.

Janice moved to Scotland, South Dakota, in 1972. She worked with her husband in their funeral homes in Scotland, Tyndall, and Tripp from 1972 to 2012. She helped to answer phones, visitiations, setting up floral arrangements, and ushering at the funeral home and at churches.

Janice loved camping and traveling in the travel trailer, visiting RV parks, and visiting many states; both the East Coast and the western states. She loved going to Arizona for the winter months and spending summers in South Dakota. She loved playing golf, and was active in many golf tournaments. Janice was a former member of P.E.O. Scotland, Scotland SD VFW, and the Ironwood Ladies Golf Association.

Janice is survived by her husband, John R. Kelley, daughters Melissa Perdaems (Pat) and Michelle Gibson.; grandchildren Cory, Avery, Irelynn, and Emelynn; and sister Phyllis Slaba (Jerome).
