John Richard Hooker & Jacqueline Ann Hooker

Together at their request we honor their passing

John Richard Hooker 87, passed on to his eternal life on Friday, July 10,2020 at his home in Sun Lakes, Arizona with his loving family at his side. John was born on April 16, 1933 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He then was raised in Forest, Ohio where he finished High School. John then enlisted with the U.S. Army and served for eight years. In his earlier years, he was employed with H.H. Robertson in Pennsylvania and later moved to Arizona worked and retired with Elward Construction. John was an avid and excellent model airplane craftsman. He was an active member of model airplane clubs for more than 50 years. His friendship was valued by many and he was always well- respected by his co-workers.

Jacqueline Ann Hooker 78, passed on to her eternal life on Friday, August 1, 2014 in the care of Hospice and family. Jacqueline was born on November 14, 1935 in Rostraver, Pennsylvania. It was there she attended school and graduated High School. Jackie then completed Cosmetology School and worked as a stylist for Joseph Horne Department Store. After moving to Arizona Jackie enjoyed being a homemaker raising their two sons Gregg and Scott. Family was very important to Jackie she enjoyed spending time with her sons families and grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his father John F. Hooker, 1983 mother Gertrude Graebing-Hooker 1977 of Forest, Ohio.

Jacqueline was preceded in death by her father George W. Hamilton, 1991 mother Artie Hamilton, 1999 of Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania. Sister Betty St. Clair 1989, Brother-in-Law Earl St. Clair 2007 of Yardley, Pennsylvania.

Together they are preceded in death by their son Scott E. Hooker 2018.

John and Jacqueline are survived by their eldest son Gregg R. Hooker and his wife Karen Hooker their children Jennifer Hooker- Zaitoun husband Ahmad Zaitoun, their son Peyton Monteilh of Tempe, Arizona. Thomas Hooker wife Elva Hooker, their son Logan Hooker of Gilbert, Arizona. Daughter-in –Law Julie A. Hooker, children Anthony Hooker and partner Shay Masterson of Chandler, Arizona, Michael Hooker, and his son James Hooker, of Tempe, Arizona. Niece Michelle Deis husband Robert Deis their children Lauren Deis, Robert Jr. Deis wife Lena Deis, their sons R.J. and Louie of Morrisville, Pennsylvania.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Suncrest Hospice Services in Phoenix, Arizona.

Interment for John and Jacqueline will be celebrated at 10am on October 10, 2020 at Valley of the Sun Cemetery.
