Julie Fleming, a beloved wife, mama, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, died Dec. 12, 2021, following a short battle with cancer. Julie is survived by husband Mike, daughter Lea, parents Stan, Guin, and Judy, siblings Kate, Scott, Joel, Nick, and David, cherished nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
Julie was born in Merced, California where she quickly developed a love for family, flip flops, Armenian cuisine, and the San Francisco Giants. She married Mike in 1995, and their 26-year marriage led them to many adventures and homes in California, Kentucky, and Arizona.
After graduating from Fresno State, Julie worked her entire career as a recreational therapist. In 2010, she realized her true dream job when she became a mama. When Julie wasn’t with Lea at every school event, soccer game, and ninja competition, you could find her whipping up amazing meals, chatting on the phone with family, rooting for her SF Giants, going the extra mile for her friends, and walking along Pismo Beach or Main Street at Disneyland.
Julie’s life was too short, but her love was immeasurable. She made a profound difference in every life she touched, often just by exuding her authentic joy and always stepping up to lend a helping hand. May we all learn from (and live up to) her example. #foreverGiant
