Ken was born in Scottsboro, Alabama on May 13, 1933. As he grew up with his parents and 2 brothers, Bill (deceased) and Ray, they moved to Florida and Tennessee. After high school Ken moved to the Chicagoland area, but always enjoyed visiting his family in the South.
Ken married Rachel Pinion on January 26, 1963; they went ice fishing on their honeymoon at Wisconsin Dells! They continued traveling at home and abroad, seeing over 30 countries as well as all the states with family and friends.
They were blessed with 5 children, Kenneth Edward Jr. (Karen), Reg (Elizabeth), Gerry (Amy), Tabitha and Gloria. He was the Granddad of 8 and Great Granddad of 1. Ken’s strong Christian faith in the “Good Lord” is his legacy; all of his children and grandchildren continue that faith in the Lord.
Ken founded and operated Ken’s Heating and Air Conditioning in 1985 – 2005. His business card included his favorite verse Philippians 4:19 “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.”
He will be missed more than we can say, but in our grief, we know that he is rejoicing to be with his Lord and enjoying a reunion with his family and friends who went on before him. We know that someday soon we will all be together again in Heaven and as the Bible says in Titus 2:13, “We are looking for that blessed hope and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ.”
