Kristina Marie Bowen

of Chandler AZ, passed away on August 20, 2017. Kristina was the beloved daughter of Timothy Bruce Bowen (Wife: Anne) and Victoria Leigh Cook (Campbell) (Husband Jim), beloved sister to Katrina "Kati" Leigh Bowen-Wiggs (Husband: Landon Wiggs. Nephew: Jackson Wallace Wiggs), Brother: Timothy Charles Bowen and Sister: Ivy Alexandra Bowen, and beloved granddaughter of Howard Bowen (Wife: Tessie) and Doris Egnor and Bob Campbell (wife Kathy) . Kristina was preceded in death by her grandfather Larry Egnor, and grandmother June Bowen. Kristi and her sister Kati shared a bond that defined sisterhood and unconditional love. Kristi will be dearly missed by her best friend Hannah Towner (Mesquita) and by Michael Ellerbeck, her partner. Kristi's Yorkshire Terrier, Fitzgerald, (Fitz) will be devastated by the loss of his "mama." Kristi's extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins are too numerous to mention, but she loved them all and was loved by them in return. Kristi passed away peacefully at the tender age of 26 surrounded by those who loved her after she lost a valiant and grueling battle with glioblastoma. Kristi was born with retinoblastoma (cancer of the eye) and had her right eye removed when she was 9-months old. The treatment for that cancer included radiation which ultimately resulted in her developing glioblastoma 17-years later. Kristi loved animals and had planned to study Marine Biology while attending ASU on an academic scholarship. Those plans and dreams were cut down in their prime when she learned of her diagnosis. Kristi enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, took pleasure in her limited ability to travel, and she enjoyed reading, and listening to many different podcasts. Kristi's beautiful smile, laughter, and deliciously witty sense of humor will always be remembered and dearly missed! Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017, at 10:00 at the Sun Lakes Chapel for All Faiths: 9240 E. Sun Lakes Blvd. N., Sun Lakes, AZ. 85248. Inurnment immediately thereafter at Valley of the Sun Cemetery, 10940 E. Chandler Heights Road, Chandler, AZ. 85248
