Lou was a homemaker for most of her life, but after all the kids left home, she became a sales representative for Spectrum USA where she made many lifelong friends and thoroughly enjoyed working with the public at tradeshows and retail stores. Upon retiring, she was able to pursue her own creative passions and hobbies.
The most important thing to Lou was her love of family. She enjoyed all her kids, grandkids and great grandkids with a passion like no other. Every accomplishment or milestone that they had was met with the biggest cheerleader the world has ever seen.
Lou also enjoyed golf, writing poetry, pottery and painting. She was a member of the Foothills Ladies Golf Association, Page Turners Book Group and the International Who’s Who in Poetry. She had so much passion for golf, that she was the first person in our family to make a hole in one in 2013. Everyone else was hundreds of par 3’s behind her before they achieved theirs.
Lou’s bucket list included many daring adventures, like skydiving, zip-lining, river rafting and frequent trips to the casino (which were extremely dangerous!!) She also enjoyed traveling. Especially the cruises to both Alaska and the Panama Canal.
Lou was a bright light that lit up every room she walked into. Lou had an infectious laugh and welcomed everyone into her circle of family and friends. She had a passion for wine, good food and friends. She loved a house full of people. There are no words to describe the hole in our hearts, but we were so blessed to call her wife, mamma, grammie, and sister. We will love you always and forever.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Salvation Army Southwest Division. A celebration of life will be held on August 12, 2023 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at Foothills Golf Club in Phoenix, Arizona.
