

Linda was born in Huntington Beach, California on October 2, 1944 to John and Ann Tucker.
Linda attended Snow College, then Utah State University and earned her bachelor’s degree. She started teaching high school in Utah, became a dorm parent while her husband coached football – then taught high school in Michigan. After moving to Arizona, she spent most of her career working in state government for the Department of Developmental Disabilities. Most of that time, she was a licensing regulator. She was a member of the ACLU.
Linda had a passion for reading and landscape gardening. She was an animal lover and volunteered her time to rescue cats in need. She enjoyed passionately debating and was always prepared with facts. She was fiercely independent. She never wanted to rely on anyone to help her, sprinkler repair people in particular. She hand-watered her large grass landscape by hand religiously.
Linda is survived by her sister Patricia Tucker; her children, Carrie C. Thomas (Tad), Autumn C Morgan,Charles P Morgan, and Aimee Church( David) ; grandchildren Kelsey Thomas (Mike), Cater Sorensen (Tyler), Brynn Thomas, and Hayden Morgan; great-grandchildren Ava M Sorensen and Hailey J Sorensen; many cousins , nieces, and nephews.
Linda was predeceased by her son, Derek J Church, her sister Mary Tucker Rumich ,her parents John and Ann Tucker, and her Aunt Fern who was very special to her.
There will be an Arizona Celebration of Life open house on May 20th from 1:00 to 4:00 at her home. 1668 S Ash Mesa, AZ 85202-5704. There will be a Utah Celebration of Life open house on May 27th from 1:00 to 4:00 at her home. 184 N 100 E Fairview, UT 84629
