Dear Linda, 

You always remind me of the strong southern mamas I knew in Tennessee. It made me feel so at home to visit you you. I had always hoped I'd get to sit down with you and sew a kilt together...  I knew it would take some serious time. We talked about it and I'll never forget how willing you were to teach me. But for now it will have to wait. I wish that I could see you and hug you, but I know you are in a much better place. Prayers for all your family and hugs from afar. I know how much you love them. God be with you till we meet again. It was an honor to know you.

I believe Linda was the very first Daughter of Scotia I met. I was attending the Highland Games in Phoenix and she was under a tent serving tea and cookies. The BEST cookie in the world! I dreamed about Linda’s cookies and watched for them at every get together. I signed up that day to join. I expect Linda could do ANYthing! The feast she prepared for the Robert Burns Night was amazing. Linda was always friendly and welcoming, helping everyone. I see Linda and I were both from the San Francisco Bay Area, and even both attended Foothill JC! A sweet surprise. Linda leaves a legacy of love, service, and compassion. I am blessed to have known her. 💜

Since I first met Linda over three years ago I realised that she was a very kind and strong lady with a truly fantastic sense of humour and wonderful laughter.
I am fiancé to her wonderful and beautiful daughter Kari who emulates much of her beloved mother's strength and courage. 
My thoughts and prayers and those of my family go out to all the family at this very sad time and especially to Kari, Klaire, Paloma, Danny and family.

I would also like to thank Linda for bringing my darling Kari into my life for she is my entire World and a true credit to her wonderful mother and father. 

In the short time I knew Linda I was truly honoured to do so and she was a wonderful lady.

🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏’s for the Maschino family. We will miss you Linda. When Ricky was taking dance lessons with Paloma teaching him & using your garage in Gilbert while we hung out in the house & had conversations as well as Daughters of Scotia events are the memories I will carry. When I last saw you at Paloma’s wedding you weren’t doing well, but you were able to share a happy event, &  we had our last good conversation. Mom, Ricky & I will miss you 😢 at the DOS functions. RIP beautiful lady. Say hi to Dad for me. You & Dad use to have wonderful conversations while he was waiting on Ricky at dance & now you can pick up right where you left off. We will see you again, when our time comes.

I was truly shocked, and my heart is broken.
I first met Linda 7 years ago, at an American Legion Auxiliary Unit 39 General Membership Meeting. Linda was very giving and was always volunteering her time to the American Legion, while showing off her wonderful cooking and sewing skills.
She had a smile that would light up the room, and her heart was always full of joy, when she bragged about her children and grandchildren. 
It was a pleasure being your friend, and you will truly be missed by me, and everyone who knew you.

Through childhood, adolescence, adulthood, love, tears, weddings, births, and passings of family members, Linda Casey Maschino was always there.  Treasured friend, dependable neighbor, and loving extended family for nearly sixty-eight years makes this all the more surreal.  Love and caring radiated from this beautiful being.  She would do anything for anyone.

We might not see one another for ten years or more and yet one long, warm hug brought us right back to where we left off the last time we met.  

Our minds are shocked and our hearts are broken.  Her physical presence will be deeply and profoundly missed, the imprint of her spiritual presence will never leave us.  And when we see each other again, it will be the same…forever.

I love you, Linda.


We're  just shocked and devastated.  I'll miss the texts and joke sharing on FB. There are so many memories from our teen years to old age..well ok, seniorhood.My favorite memory was in SJ for the time you had a party,ended it ,re-themed the house for a party for Russ. You had a wonderful life no matter what came your way. Now it's time to share all your gifts with those in Heaven. Linda,you left your mark on everyone you have ever met. Some people never leave a mark. But you did. We love you forever. Rest assured you raised a strong family. 

Such good memories I hold close. The Las Vegas trip, the cruise to Alaska, the wonderful family gatherings in Okarche are treasures I'll have of all the fun we had. More meaningful times were the months Carl and Mike were sick. They called each other twice a day to compare notes and we grew to understand each other's grief.
Linda was always giving and doing for others, sewing and cooking for anyone who needed it. Her loyalty to the VFW was a shining example of her love for her fellowman.
She will truly be missed by all who knew her.

I first met Linda four years ago at a Daughters of Scotia meeting.  I thought what a beautiful person, and she had a beautiful soul. I lost a dear friend/Scotia sister, and the heavens have gained an another Angel.  Linda, you're truly going to be missed. You will be missed at our meetings and our conventions.  God be with you until we meet again.   RIP my dear friend.

Aunt Linda always had a smile on her face and loved to just sit and visit and catch up with everyone! Every time I think of her I will remember her beautiful smile 

Kari, Paloma & family - my condolences, sadden to hear about the loss of Linda, she will be greatly missed by all of her Daughter of Scotia sisters. Lady McCloud gained a new member as she is reunited with her Mom GPCD Claire Casey. 

Saying goodbye to my oldest dearest friend is very difficult.  The memories of the times we spent together will always be precious to me.  I met  Linda Casey at Campbell  High School in 1960.  We shared many adventures in our teens and even after we were both married.   Linda and Carl were our Maid of Honor and Best Man at our wedding.  Linda always made me smile.  She tended to be a little of a klutz which only added to the comedic  adventure.  She always laughed at herself which made her antics even more adorable.  Whether it was drag racing at the San Jose Speedway ( I was her Pit Crew) or dancing the night away we stood by each other thru the love and tears.  I will miss you DEAR FRIEND......

Linda I will never forget our fun times we had together in our younger years. Jim and Carl both worked together and from that grew our friendship. You and Carl taught us how to waterski, so we bought a boat. We loved going up to Clear Lake with you on so many weekends and almost considered getting a place there.  Somehow we all ended up in Arizona and though we drifted apart as our families grew you and Carl were both near and dear to us.  Rest in peace with Carl.

You will truly be missed . I will keep the memories of you tucked in my heart ❤️

Linda, when last we spoke we were so full of joy bragging on kiddos and grandchildren.  Next time we meet we will be bragging on how great our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ is.

Aunt Linda we are all so devastated. You have always been such a kind sole with a bright smile on your face. 
I'll always remember you and mom getting ready to head out to the Black Friday sales. You two were always on a mission.
All those summers at Clear Lake boating and the many camping weekends at Rollins Lake. The Maschino and Holt families. 
I'll always appreciate you guys opening your home to me, to live with you my Frosh year at San Jose State. 
You will be missed by everyone who knew you and who had the pleasure of meeting you.
