Maria Franziska Rogers, 87 of Chandler, Arizona passed away peacefully on February 10, 2013. She was born in Lagundo, Italy to Johann and Aloisia Fliri. She escaped from Italy during World War II and moved to Austria where she met and married Joseph Rogers who was there with the US Army. The couple made their home in the San Francisco Bay area before moving to Arizona in 2001. She is preceded in death by the love of her life Joseph and brothers and sisters in Austria. Maria is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Michael and Nancy Rogers, granddaughters Michelle Horner (Mark) and Lisa Trozenski (Victor), brother-in-law Charles Rogers (Evelyn), and loving great-grandchildren Sienna and Michael. Most recently she lived at the Village of Ocotillo where she met and enjoyed visiting with many new friends. A private graveside service will be held at the Valley of the Sun Mortuary and Cemetery in Chandler, AZ. in which arrangements have been entrusted to.
