Pamela Jill Woods Gibson, 53, of Phoenix, Arizona--known as Pam or Pammy to her family and friends--went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 23, 2013. She was born in New York City on September 23, 1960. Pam graduated from Downey High School in Downey, California in 1978 and married her beloved husband, Mark DeWayne Gibson on September 9, 1989 after reuniting with him at their 10 year high school reunion. The light of her life, her son, Zachary Paul Gibson, was born on July 25, 1993. Besides her husband and son, Pam’s greatest loves were her cats, Hawaii, and being part of the world of magic as she supported her son’s desire for a career as a magician. To that end, Pam helped in the office of the Society of American Magicians, Ring 248 and often accompanied Zachary to magic conventions and events in Las Vegas and San Diego. Pam also loved playing a part in haunted houses during the Halloween season and had worked at Knott’s Scary Farm and The Crypt Haunted Attraction in Phoenix. A longtime resident of Downey, California, she was employed at Downey Community Hospital in the Cardiology department before moving out of state. To all who knew her, it was Pam’s bright smile and generous, loving heart that imprinted her in our hearts forever. Pam is survived by her husband Mark, her son Zachary, her sisters, Melissa Woods Valencia of Castaic, California and Debbie Woods Willis of Mexico, her niece, Lindsey Ogata Hice of San Diego, California, and her nephews, Matthew James Hirsch of Huntington Park, California, and Peter Lee Hirsch of Asheville, North Carolina and her great-nephew, David Hice Jr. and mother-in-law
